You should spay your female and neuter your male at the age of 9 to 10 months and NOT BEFORE. I don't care what your Vet says about health reason there is no reason to do it sooner unless you want to risk your dog's life.This is a slow maturing breed and it's rare for a first heat in the female before 9 months. Breeders agree the the health risks are minimal if your puppy goes through one heat. There is also a risk with ansethesia before 8 months.
